Cookie policy

This Cookie Policy explains how THINK DIGITAL (“Think Digital”, “we”, “us”) uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit our website at thinkdigitalltd.co.uk.

Last updated: 3 April 2026.

1. What this policy covers

This policy describes the types of cookies and similar technologies we use, why we use them, and the choices you have. It should be read alongside any information we provide about privacy and data protection on our site and in our engagement terms. If you are in the UK, use of non-essential cookies and similar technologies is regulated in part by the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) alongside UK GDPR. We only load Google Analytics and Google reCAPTCHA on the contact form after you choose Accept on our cookie banner (the same optional-cookies choice).

2. What are cookies and similar technologies?

Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer or device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make sites work more efficiently, remember preferences, and understand how visitors use a site.

We also refer to related technologies such as local storage (where supported by your browser) and pixels or scripts loaded from third parties (for example when analytics or security tools run in your browser). Where this policy says “cookies”, it includes these technologies where they perform a similar function.

3. How we use cookies

We group cookies into the categories below. Whether a cookie is “first-party” (set by us) or “third-party” (set by another provider such as Google) is noted in the table.

3.1 Strictly necessary cookies

These are required for the site to function in line with your choices, or for us to comply with security or legal obligations. They include the cookie that remembers your cookie consent decision so we do not repeatedly show the consent banner once you have chosen Essential only or Accept.

3.2 Optional cookies — Google Analytics

If you click Accept on our cookie banner, we load Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to help us understand aggregated traffic—such as which pages are viewed, roughly where users are located, and how the site performs. GA4 may use cookies and similar storage to distinguish visitors and measure engagement. We do not load GA4 if you choose Essential only or until you have made a choice (the banner stays visible).

3.3 Optional cookies — Google reCAPTCHA (contact form)

Our contact / request form can use Google reCAPTCHA (including reCAPTCHA Enterprise where configured) for spam and bot risk scoring. The reCAPTCHA script and related requests to Google are loaded only when you have chosen Accept on the cookie banner—the same consent as for Analytics—and we do not load that script when you first open a page; it is requested when you start using the contact form (for example clicking or typing in it, or when you send the form). If you choose Essential only, we do not load reCAPTCHA in your browser; you can still submit the form, and our server applies other checks (such as honeypot fields, timing, and field validation). When reCAPTCHA does run, Google may set or read cookies or use other storage; see Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

4. Cookie and technology summary

The following summary describes the main technologies we refer to in this policy. Exact cookie names from third parties may change when those providers update their services; you can review cookies stored in your browser at any time via your browser settings.

5. Your choices and control

  • Cookie banner. When you first visit (or after clearing cookies), you can choose Essential only or Accept (optional cookies: Google Analytics and Google reCAPTCHA on the contact form).
  • Change your mind. Use Cookie preferences in the site footer or on this page to open the banner again and update your choice.
  • Browser settings. You can block or delete cookies through your browser. Blocking all cookies may affect how the site functions (for example, we may not remember your consent choice).
  • Google Analytics opt-out. Google provides a browser add-on for some browsers; you can also decline analytics via our banner.

6. International transfers

Where we use services provided by companies established outside the UK (such as Google), your data may be processed in countries that do not have the same data protection laws as the UK. Those providers typically rely on appropriate safeguards (such as the UK extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses). You can read more in Google's privacy materials linked above.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time—for example if we change the cookies we use or the tools we rely on. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will be revised when we make material changes. We encourage you to review this page periodically.

8. Contact us

If you have questions about this Cookie Policy or how we use cookies, please contact us via the contact form on this website or through the details on our About page.

Note: This policy is provided for transparency. It is not legal advice. If you need advice on compliance with PECR, UK GDPR, or other laws, you should consult a qualified professional.
