Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how THINK DIGITAL (“Think Digital”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, stores, and protects personal data when you visit our website at thinkdigitalltd.co.uk or send us an enquiry through our Request Service form.

Last updated: 2 October 2026.

1. Who we are

THINK DIGITAL is a website development agency based in the United Kingdom. For the purposes of the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018, we are the controller of the personal data described in this policy.

If you have any questions about this policy or how we handle your data, email us at info@thinkdigitalltd.co.uk.

2. The information we collect

2.1 When you use our Request Service form

When you submit an enquiry through the Request Service form, we collect the details you enter:

  • Contact details: your name, email address, and phone number.
  • Business details: your company or organisation name, business category, and current website (if you have one).
  • Project details: the project type, the add-ons you select, your primary goal, your timeline, how you heard about us, and your project brief.
  • Call-back booking: the date and 30-minute time slot you choose for your free consultation.

Based on the add-ons you select, the form suggests a service tier. This is only a starting point for our conversation; a member of our team reviews every enquiry and confirms any recommendation with you. We do not make decisions about you by purely automated means.

2.2 Security and anti-spam information

To protect the form from spam and abuse, when you submit it our server records technical information about the request: your IP address, your browser type and version (the “user agent”), the page you came from, how long the form was open, and short samples of some fields (such as the first part of your name and the domain of your email address). We do not record your project brief in these logs.

If you have accepted optional cookies, the form also uses Google reCAPTCHA, which assesses whether the submission is likely to come from a person or a bot. Google receives information from your browser to do this. If you choose Essential only, reCAPTCHA is not loaded and we rely on our own checks instead. See our Cookie Policy for details.

2.3 When you email us or reply to our emails

If you contact us by email, or reply to the confirmation email we send after you use the form, we receive your email address and anything you include in your message.

2.4 When you browse our website

  • Analytics (only with your consent). If you click Accept on our cookie banner, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used—for example which pages are viewed, the type of device, and the approximate region visitors come from. We use this information in aggregate (totals such as weekly sessions and page views), not to identify you.
  • Cookie preference. We store a small cookie that remembers whether you chose Essential only or Accept.
  • Hosting logs. Like all websites, our hosting provider automatically processes your IP address and basic request information (such as the page requested and the time) to deliver pages to you and to keep the service secure.
  • Technology logos. Some logos on our homepage are loaded from the Simple Icons content delivery network (cdn.simpleicons.org). When your browser requests them, that provider receives your IP address, as with any web request.

We do not ask for, and ask you not to send us, special category data (such as health information) through the form.

3. How we use your information and our lawful basis

UK GDPR requires us to have a lawful basis for each way we use personal data. The table below sets out what we do and why.

We send ourselves a weekly website report. It contains only totals (such as sessions, users, page views, and the number of form submissions) and no information about individual visitors.

We will not sell your personal data, and we will not add you to marketing mailing lists without your permission.

4. How we store your information

  • Enquiries are delivered by email. When you submit the form, your enquiry is sent as an email to our business inbox and a confirmation email is sent to you. Our website does not keep a database of form submissions.
  • Submission counts. Where the server allows it, the website keeps an anonymous record of the date and time of each successful submission, with no names or contact details, so we can count enquiries in our weekly report.
  • Security logs. The security information described in section 2.2 is written to our hosting provider’s application logs, which only we can access.
  • Secure transfer. Our website uses HTTPS, so the information you enter is encrypted between your browser and our server. Access to our inbox and hosting account is limited to authorised members of our team.

5. Who we share your information with

We only share personal data with service providers who help us run our website and business, and only as needed for the purposes above:

  • Hostinger hosts our website and provides our email service, so it processes form submissions, emails, and server logs on our behalf. See Hostinger's Privacy Policy.
  • Google provides Google Analytics and Google reCAPTCHA (only if you accept optional cookies). See Google's Privacy Policy.
  • Professional advisers such as accountants or lawyers, where needed to run our business.
  • Authorities, if we are required to by law.

6. International transfers

Some of our providers, such as Google, may process data outside the UK, including in the United States. Where this happens, the transfer is protected by appropriate safeguards recognised under UK law, such as the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the UK International Data Transfer Addendum to standard contractual clauses.

To exercise any of these rights, email info@thinkdigitalltd.co.uk. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on your request. We will respond within one month, and there is normally no charge.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please contact us first so we can try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK data protection regulator: ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or 0303 123 1113.

9. Children

Our website and services are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has sent us their details, please contact us and we will delete them.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example if we change the information we collect or the providers we use. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
